The Shipping Coordinator will support Rombauer Vineyards oversee the Shipping and Receiving area. They are a primary Customer Services representative at Rombauer Vineyards ensuring dedication to the highest quality of customer satisfaction delivered with a sense of graciousness, pride, fun, and company spirit. They also provide a positive product image to all visitors. May assist with hospitality special events as needed.

What You Will Do:

Responsible for Consumer Relations (10%)
  • Assists with many daily operations to include customer service and general duties. Keeps workspace clean.
  • Data entry may be assigned in support of Wine Club or web sales, order processing and order returns.
  • May conduct outbound calling in response to general order inquiries answer phones to take orders, and respond to general inquiries
Responsible for Shipping/Receiving (45%)
  • Prepares and packs goods for shipment.
  • Counts, signs for, and distributes goods received.
  • Facilitate wholesale will calls and consolidation transfers to offsite warehouses.
  • Maintains necessary files and documentation regarding all inventory shipment, returns and transfers.
  • Assists with special projects such as labeling, foiling, marking, packaging, and special inventory related tasks.
  • Utilizes small hand tools and operates material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jack and hand trucks.
  • May operate company vehicle to pick up and deliver materials at various local destinations.
  • Packs retail wine for shipping, ensuring that wine is packaged and shipped in a timely manner; that the correct wines are packed, and the appropriate POS materials are included.
Responsible for Inventory Control and Order management (45%)
  • Maintains all inventory organized and easy to locate.
  • Works closely with RVN and RSF Management team's on weekly wine orders including order tracking
  • Review inventory availability in WSC
  • Processes returns with instructions from DTC Admin team and update returns worksheet
  • Ensures all orders are accounted for and have appropriate statuses in system
  • Performs manual and clerical duties related to the ordering of shipment materials, wine, supplies, equipment, and finished products.
  • Complete month end processes in preparation for physical counts. May support counts and problem solving

What You Will Need:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Required to lift and move product weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Required to work a flexible schedule as needed
  • Required to engage in frequent walking and standing.
  • Required to multi-task with focus on detail and switch gears quickly
  • Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Basic presentation, communication and analysis skills.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
What Will Set You Apart:
  • High School diploma or GED plus 2 years of experience in Shipping/Receiving
  • Wine industry experience
  • Responsible Beverage Service Training
  • CPR and First Aid Training
  • Pallet Jack Training
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
