**Rosewood Miramar Beach** is looking for a **Turndown Attendant** to join the **Housekeeping Team**!

**Overview**

Provide turndown service and clean guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel's established standards of cleanliness. Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest requests or complaints. Ensures the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.

**Turndown Attendant Essential Responsibilities:**

* Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.

* Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.

* Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and at whatever time of day.

* Maintain positive guest relations at all times.

* The turn attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also able to address guest requests and problems.

* Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

* Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.

* Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas

* Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.

* Provide turndown service to designated rooms on the assignment sheet.

* Empty trash containers and ashtrays.

* Replace soiled bedsheets and turndown beds.

* Place specified items in designated locations (turndown amenity/cards, doorknob menu, bathrobe with the card, bed floor mats, TV remote control).

* Responsible for replenishment of guest complimentary water.

* Close drapes/shutters.

* Wipe shower stalls, sinks, clean toilet if necessary

* Set lighting and thermostat to designated levels.

* Makeup cribs and rollaway beds

* Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up, and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain, and floor.

* Replace facial, toilet tissue, and bathroom amenities in the correct amount and location.

* Clean guest rooms as assigned. When full service is requested, room to be cleaned including mop, vacuum, replacing amenities and robes.

* Update status of rooms cleaned and turned down on assignment sheet.

* Return and restock cart at end of shift.

* Empty vacuum bag and wipe vacuum clean.

* Ensure security of any assigned guest room keys.

* Report any damages or maintenance problems to the Supervisor.

* Turn over any lost and found items from guest rooms to the Supervisor.

* Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.

* Participate in quality control activities.

* Interact in a courteous and professional manner with all guests, staff, and community members.

* Respond in a courteous, professional, and rapid manner in order to resolve all guest and staff difficulties.

* Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.

* Maintain a clean and safe work area.

* Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.

* Ensure that standards, inclusive of grooming and attire of staff, are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.

* Models the companys culture, vision, mission, and core values at all times.

* All other duties as required.

Job Requirements **Qualifications**

* Ability to prioritize Turn Down based on Guest / Residents preferences, traces, and Housekeeping Notes

* Knowledge of proper chemical handling

* Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy

* Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment

* Follow directions thoroughly

* Understand a guests service needs

* Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team

* Work with minimal supervision

* Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data

* Prior heavy exposure to Housekeeping Turn Down job duties

* Ability to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility

* Ability to perform mathematical operations with units of measure including, but not limited to dollars, cents, feet, inches, cups, pounds, and ounces

* Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred

* Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 20 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding

**Experience:** Previous experience in a housekeeping department for a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel.

**Education:** High school diploma.

**Experience:** Minimum two years experience in a similar capacity for a luxury or ultra-luxury property.
