Requirements / Qualifications

The Soccer Girls Assistant Coach position at American Canyon High School requires candidates to have experience in soccer, coaching, and working with high school student-athletes. Candidates must obtain First Aid/CPR, NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Concussion in Sports, and Heat and Illness prevention certifications, along with all other district-required documents. The season runs from November to February, with some off-season activities. The coach will receive a booster stipend at season's end and must be willing to collaborate with staff, students, parents, and booster clubs.

Applicants should have knowledge of:

1. Character-building aspects of sports, including sportsmanship and good character;
2. Physical capacities and limitations of high school athletes;
3. Coaching principles aligned with educational philosophy, adolescent psychology, nutrition, risk management, and sport rules and strategies.
