GDBA is seeking qualified individuals who are willing to consider relocation within a commutable distance of San Francisco. Relocation assistance may be offered on a case-by-case basis.

A newly hired Protector in San Francisco will earn no less than $90,000 in their first year with GDBA. With experience, training, and promotions, Protectors could earn up to $110,000 in the first year.

This is a full-time position with benefits, including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and 401(k).

Your Role as a Protector:

  1. Monitor property using GDBA Command Center tools and technology
  2. Screen visitors and vendors; control access to protected sites
  3. Coordinate security plans and respond to medical emergencies
  4. Provide physical protection and logistical support at client locations and during travel
  5. Arrange secure transportation as needed
  6. Survey and prepare locations before client arrival
  7. Document suspicious activities in detail
  8. Maintain readiness to meet any threat

Who You Are:

Veterans make up over 60% of GDBA's workforce. Military-experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. Active National Guard or Reservists: GDBA accommodates drill schedules and activations. Active-duty service members can apply within 90 days of ETS and attend our EPS Academy during Terminal Leave.

Interested Candidates Should Expect:

  1. 12-Day Introductory EPS Training Academy
  2. Professional Leadership Track (PLT): a 2-year program with 500 hours of training, mentoring, instruction, and certification, plus four advanced academies
  3. Passing a physical readiness test (pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, 800m run)
  4. Being drug and nicotine free
  5. Passing a background check
  6. Ability to swim

Additional Compensation and Benefits:

  • $1,500 sign-on bonus
  • Reimbursements for gym, massage, ammunition, and cellphone
  • $1,100 HSA contribution
  • Family benefits including outing, kids, and school supplies funds
  • Annual free vacations for 200 qualified Protectors
  • Up to $2,500 stipend for CCW licenses
  • Up to $1,000 stipend for certifications like EMT, Lifeguard, NRA, Pilot, Maritime
