Food Service Manager

Overview:
Granite Ridge is looking for a dedicated and experienced Food Services Manager to lead our culinary operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality meals for our camps, conferences, and retreats. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, experience in kitchen management, and a commitment to providing nutritious and delicious meals to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of food service operations, including meal planning, preparation, and service for groups.
2. Supervise kitchen staff and volunteers, providing leadership and guidance.
3. Develop and plan menus that are nutritious, varied, and appealing to guests.
4. Coordinate grocery orders with the Camp Director in a timely manner.
5. Ensure kitchen facilities and equipment are maintained in superior condition and meet sanitation standards.
6. Implement proper food storage, preservation, and safety practices in compliance with regulations.
7. Prepare for and pass government inspections related to food safety and cleanliness.
8. Ensure the delivery of balanced meals on time, at the right temperature, and in appropriate quantities.
9. Manage and maintain proper inventory.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in kitchen supervision or as a head cook.
2. Demonstrated ability in meal planning and service for large groups (50-150 guests).
3. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff and volunteers.
4. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food service.
5. Excellent menu planning skills with a focus on nutrition, variety, and dietary restrictions.
6. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
7. Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
8. Commitment to delivering high-quality meals with exceptional presentation and service.
9. Commitment to doing everything with excellence and to the Glory of God.
10. Great interpersonal skills.
11. ServSafe Certified Food Protection Manager Certification.
12. Professional certifications (First Aid, CPR, AED).
13. Food handling experience.
