Summary:

As an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist at Clean Harbors, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting a culture of safety within the organization. This position is critical in supporting our mission to deliver safe and effective environmental solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Implement health and safety training in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
2. Conduct training sessions for employees on safety practices, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
3. Perform regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
4. Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and compliance activities.
5. Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
6. Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to environmental health and safety.

Qualifications:

1. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA guidelines.
2. DOT knowledge.
3. Excellent training development skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
4. Certification in First Aid/CPR is required; additional certifications are a plus.
5. Experience in conducting root cause analysis for incidents is highly desirable.
6. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
