Our WW Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. We are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to join as an Area Manager. In this role, you will lead a team of hourly workers and be responsible for engaging your team during shifts to maintain safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will also play a key role in meeting customer expectations to ensure timely deliveries.

Job Overview

Our operations consist of three main components: First mile (product housing), Middle mile (transport to your area), and Last mile (delivery to the customer). Although workflows vary slightly, our core vision and dedication to the customer remain constant.

We frequently open new Operations sites, offering growth opportunities. Hiring for Area Managers depends on location preferences and current openings.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
  2. Manage safety, quality, productivity, and delivery commitments.
  3. Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and HR teams to develop plans to meet business goals.
  4. Physical requirements include lifting up to 49 pounds, and performing tasks such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
  5. Stand or walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
  6. Work in environments with variable noise levels and weather conditions, including outdoor loading areas.
  7. Climb and descend stairs as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of employee and performance management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to push and pull loaded dollies up to 100 pounds.
  • Valid and active USA state driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques for 1+ years.
