Job Title: Payment Processing Clerk

Employment Type: 6-Month Contract, 100% Onsite

Compensation: Up to $23.00 per hour

Position Overview:

A well-established wine distributor in Napa is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payment Processing Clerk for a 6-month contract assignment. This role is ideal for someone with strong data entry skills, basic accounting knowledge, and the ability to stay organized while managing multiple administrative tasks in a fast-paced office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scan and process incoming check payments
• Post payments accurately to customer accounts
• Perform miscellaneous filing and maintain organized records
• Digitally organize and archive files for easy retrieval
• Enter and update data within internal systems
• Utilize the company's ERP system (Apprise) for transaction processing (training provided)

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in payment processing, accounts receivable, or general office administration preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to learn and navigate ERP software (experience with Apprise is a plus, but not required)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and commute on-site full-time in Napa, CA
