Field Site EHS - (2500003S)

The Field Site EHS is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and maintaining a comprehensive environmental, safety, and health program at a project site location in Spring, Texas. The EHS will provide guidance on environmental, health, safety, and security matters to the project management team and ensure compliance with customer, local, state, and federal regulations.

This role involves identifying, anticipating, and assessing hazards, and implementing project-specific and company EHS policies and management systems to maintain regulatory compliance and minimize incidents and losses, including workers' compensation costs. The position also entails coordinating overall EHS with site contractor EHS personnel.

  • Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of daily adherence to environmental, health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate and participate in Serious Incident Reviews (SIR), incident investigations, and root-cause analysis of all incidents; coordinate investigations and case management of accidents and near misses as per company and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and supervise project-based EHS professionals.
  • Provide supervision, training, and coaching to operational leaders and site EHS professionals to ensure technical competence and development.
  • Lead and communicate project performance metrics weekly/monthly, analyzing and reporting on both leading and lagging indicators.
  • Develop and oversee Project Specific Safety Action and Emergency Response Plans, Hazard Assessments, and Mitigation Plans.
  • Conduct EHS audits and track trends within an internal database according to company policy.
  • Represent the company during customer and third-party meetings and investigations.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of expectations across the organization.
  • Facilitate and lead regulatory inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Affairs, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive EHS experience in managing EHS programs within EPC and heavy industrial construction environments.
  • Certifications such as CHST, CSP, CHMM are a plus.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and EHS data management software.
  • Effective communication, influencing, and coaching skills at all levels.
  • Willingness to provide 24/7 emergency support.
  • Knowledge of union craft environments is a plus.
  • Established client relationships in utility, industrial, and oil & gas sectors are advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams under minimal supervision.
  • Solution-oriented, self-starter, goal-focused, with high integrity and team-building skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, data management, analytical, and presentation skills.
