Position Summary

The Barowsky School of Business is seeking a part-time instructor to teach a course in the undergraduate Business Administration program during the fall of 2025. The class meets in person on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Dominican campus.

Responsibilities

• Teach a four-unit course at the undergraduate level
• Evaluate and grade student work and provide feedback to students
• Mentor and advise students on the progress of their projects and coursework
• Uphold academic performance standards and integrity
• Instructors are required to work with the School to complete assessments of the course for AACSB Assurance of Learning purposes
  
  

Course Description

• BUS-3360-1 Finance & Economics of Sports (4 units; in-person on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 PM-2:10 PM; 8/25/2025-12/12/2025) -- This course entails applying modern financial and economic principles to sports management. It will cover financial resource management, economic impact analysis, financing major sports events, venue financing, and the economic pillars underlying professional sports leagues.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or closely related fields with emphasis on Sports or Economics of Sports.
• Google Suite: Docs, Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, and Slides
• Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Zoom

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Business, Finance, Economics, or related fields with emphasis on Economics of Sports
• Teaching experience in Economics or Finance of Sports at the undergraduate or graduate level
