The Packaging Laborer may be assigned to a variety of packing, cleaning or reprocessing positions. The Packaging Laborer may be assigned to any station or location in the Packaging Department. This is an entry level position requiring continuous heavy labor activities. Assignments may include repetitive hand, arm, and body movements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Position performs necessary function required to package, seal and convey sugar packages and various packing station producing product in weights from 1 to 2000 pounds. Station tasks could include check weighing, cutting-in of damage packages, station cleaning, sorting and stacking of station materials and packaging containers, lifting packaged materials weighing 24 to 50 pounds for hand palletizing and check weighing and other tasks as assigned.
