Job Description

The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa is an elegant oasis blessed by natural mineral hot springs in Sonoma Valley, a world-famous wine region rich in local products. Our resort embodies the California Wine Country experience.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing professional, friendly, and engaging service consistently
  • Supervising daily activities of the Accounting department, including Receiving and Stores, ensuring standards are followed
  • Preparing and posting journal entries, completing month-end functions efficiently
  • Maintaining financial records in compliance with policies and procedures
  • Monitoring, supervising, and preparing month-end balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
  • Coordinating and issuing daily reports accurately and timely
  • Monitoring accounting control procedures
  • Balancing operational, administrative, and colleague needs
  • Participating in recruitment and training of new colleagues and supervisors
  • Assisting in financial audit preparation
  • Ensuring accurate recording of revenues and expenses
  • Following departmental policies and safety policies
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience in accepted accounting practices required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications and relevant software required
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Focus on guest needs, maintaining calmness and courtesy
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range: $90,200 - $97,370
