It's like Hollywood, Broadway and Nashville rolled into one. The Membership Director is an outgoing, polished and dedicated customer-focused professional. In this newly created position, you will conceive, coordinate, and execute on the marketing and program activities that will successfully recruit and retain members, enhancing the experience and engagement throughout all stages of their Club Life.

As a creative thinker and relationship builder, you will create and capitalize on external reciprocal opportunities, drive engagement and participation with current members and facilitate new member growth and retention. Responsibilities:

Membership

  • Identify and execute on opportunities to increase membership, build rapport and cultivate referrals from existing and prospective members.
  • Create and implement strategies, programs, and activities to meet retention goals and increase member engagement.
  • Analyze and report accurate and timely data (trends, demographics etc.) to Membership Committee, BOD.
  • Oversee full lifecycle of membership application through onboarding process. Participate in new member orientation process, acting as a Concierge and coordinating with sponsors and hiring committee.
  • Be the go-to person supporting members. Coordinate onsite and offsite activities, meet with and obtain feedback regularly to assure membership satisfaction and identify and propose solutions for areas of concern.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the membership function and administration including membership database, new member information, online and printed Directory etc.
  • Drive member engagement and participation, promoting committees and activities.
  • Manage communications with members, membership committee, development chairs.

Marketing/ Communications

  • Identify and execute strategies for all marketing, communications, and partnership initiatives.
  • Collaborate to create accurate and appealing prospective member materials including digital, print, and promotional pieces. Ensure availability as requested by members and candidates. Keep information updated on bulletin boards, elevators, and Club website.
  • Reliably follow up on member referrals and leads regarding potential new members
  • Implement lead generation strategies (prospecting events, awareness functions, partnership agreements etc.)
  • Manage scheduled events and tours focused on prospective members, tracking and reporting on the success of new membership campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years of private club or relevant experience and demonstrated success in growing and retaining membership, creating and executing new member campaigns.
  • Excellent communication, customer relationship and organizational skills, you like people!
  • Motivated self-starter with a good balance of hunter/ customer service mentality and a strong desire for achievement.
  • Creative thinker, bringing a fresh perspective to traditional environment.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Experience compiling, analyzing, and reporting on membership data.
  • Microsoft Office experience and aptitude.
  • Ability and interest in working flexible hours including events on weekends and evenings as needed.
