Product Managers at BMO drive real results by collaborating with teams across the enterprise to deliver impactful and meaningful outcomes. They work with Technology, Risk, and other business partners within the commercial bank, creating product strategies and delivering roadmaps on time and within budget. In a dynamic environment, Product Managers support day-to-day activities, including assisting other business units by providing subject matter expertise to Sales, Service, and Marketing, as well as senior management and executive leadership.
BMO is seeking a passionate Product Manager in the electronic payment space with significant ACH experience to enhance revenue and volume through existing and new channels, ensuring compliance with Nacha rules and payment regulations. Applicants with AAP certifications are preferred.
The role involves researching, defining, developing, and implementing sales and marketing strategies with P&L accountability to enable effective selling, fulfillment, and service of banking products, improving customer experience. Responsibilities include market research, forecasting, pricing, competitive analysis, monitoring system performance, and developing solutions. The Product Manager manages product risks in compliance with legal and regulatory standards and collaborates internally to bring products to market.
- Recommends strategies and new initiatives to senior leaders based on deep understanding of the business.
- Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
- Networks with industry contacts for insights and best practices.
- Develops strategic plans and identifies emerging issues to inform decisions.
- Leads resource management and execution of strategic initiatives to meet business and financial goals.
- Determines product lifecycle stages.
- Supports strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
- Performs independent analysis to resolve strategic issues.
- Builds business cases, analyzes options, and assesses ROI.
- Provides recommendations on product lifecycle management.
- Builds relationships with stakeholders and ensures alignment.
- Defines requirements for analytics and reporting to support data-driven decisions.
- Oversees development of analytics and insights, including profitability, customer insights, revenue forecasts, and trend analytics.
- Leads reporting and forecasting strategies within the business.
- Designs reports and dashboards, analyzes data, and monitors performance.
- Leads change management initiatives, including planning, stakeholder management, and evaluation.
- Supports operational programs, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Develops action plans to meet financial and growth metrics.
- Conducts market research, competitive intelligence, and data analysis.
- Assesses customer and channel insights, developing recommendations.
- Manages vendor relationships and external partnerships.
- Resolves customer escalations and reviews issues for gaps and solutions.
- Provides competitive and benchmarking analysis to identify strengths and gaps.
- Prepares internal and regulatory reports and manages risks.
- Develops product directives and policies.
- Supports development of key metrics and trend identification.
- Gathers and analyzes customer and sales feedback.
- Participates in market research and competitive analysis.
- Acts as day-to-day contact for vendors and supports vendor solutions.
- Designs and manages core business processes and product lifecycle management.
- Develops and implements salesforce training and change management strategies.
- Supports sales team in client deal development and presentations.
- Creates marketing strategies, including offers and campaigns, in collaboration with marketing partners.
- Develops and maintains product documentation and requirements.
- Influences credit product risk parameters and metrics.
- Operates at a group/enterprise level, serving as a resource for senior leaders.
- Addresses complex or ambiguous situations with creative solutions.
- Implements responses to shifting market trends.
Qualifications:
- Typically 7+ years of relevant experience with a post-secondary degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience with consumer and commercial credit products.
- Deep knowledge of retail and business banking, product management, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong skills in market research, relationship management, analytics, and product marketing.
- Good negotiation skills and understanding of software, systems architecture, and financial concepts.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and make data-driven decisions.
Salary: $100,000.00 - $185,500.00
