This is a per diem/on call position that may require working on weekends and with changing schedules. The Intake Coordinator works closely in conjunction with patient/caregiver, physician, equipment distributors, infusion agencies, ancillary disciplines and community resources to provide coordinated quality patient care during the intake process. The Intake Coordinator must be able to handle data entry in different EM - Rs; use office related computer programs such as MS Word and Excel; make outreach calls to local facilities, hospitals, doctors offices, and patient families and skillfully handle a difficult conversations over the phone with people from a variety of backgrounds; be able to think critically and flexibly to respond to a variety of situations.
