We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented HIM Surgery/ Observation Coder to join our team. At NorthBay, you will play a crucial role in accurately translating medical procedures and diagnoses into ICD 10, CPT and HCPCS codes in an accurate and timely manner for surgery and observation charges in the hospital and ASC settings. Our ideal candidate is a dedicated, knowledgeable individual with a strong understanding of clinical content, medical terminology, coding guidelines, regulations, and proficiency in utilizing an EHR/encoder system. Focus on outpatient surgery including Interventional Radiology procedures. Responsible for accurately adding facility charges and communicating with clinical department for accurate code/charge assignment. Abstracts demographic and physician data to meet both internal and regulatory requirements for reporting utilizing the hospitals abstracting system.
