Position Summary:

Join a dedicated team as a key player in supporting pharmacy operations. Our 3rd year Pharmacy Interns are integral to delivering exceptional service and ensuring that every patient receives the utmost attention and care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Applying your academic knowledge to real-world pharmacy practice under the guidance of experienced preceptors.
• Completing a comprehensive training roadmap tailored to give you first-hand experience of pharmacy team dynamics while learning about store, district, and regional operations.
• Ensuring efficient pharmacy operations, from prescription filling to providing empathetic patient service that exceeds expectations.
• Engaging actively with patients, offering immunizations, and assisting with health-related inquiries as permitted under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
• Maintaining adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure patient safety and compliance.
• Participating in inventory management activities and collaborating with the pharmacy team to enhance overall operations.

Key Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or accepted into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Valid intern and/or technician licensure in progress.

Expectations:

• Commitment to regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to adapt quickly to meet patient and business needs.
• Strong focus on customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Mathematical proficiency for accurate dispensing calculations.

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will also have the chance to:

• Become immunization certified and assist in delivering important healthcare services.
• Travel within the market as needed to support pharmacy operations.

Physical Demands: You should be prepared to be active and on your feet, performing various tasks that may require lifting and moving items.
