Job Summary

This position will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient procurement processes, managing inventory levels, and maintaining optimal stock levels of equipment based upon business needs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Incumbent must have the skills, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies to ensure timely availability of equipment, parts, and supplies while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and monitor vendor performance to ensure consistent delivery and quality.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement strategies to minimize over and understock situations.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to align inventory with demand.
• Process purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and track orders to ensure on-time receipt of materials while minimizing lead times.
• Analyze pricing trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and negotiate competitive pricing and terms with suppliers to maximize profitability.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of inventory and purchasing activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervising, scheduling, assigning, monitoring and evaluating work of the Purchasing and Inventory team.

Fiscal Responsibilities

• Monitor budget and invoices of the purchasing team.
  
  
  

Key Job Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proven experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain management, preferably with the HVAC industry.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, components, and industry trends.
• Proficiency in inventory management software tools.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Leadership qualities and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to maintain: 1) reliable and safe transportation to other BMCS jobsites 2) valid California driver's license, 3) proper vehicle registration, and 4) California's minimum automobile insurance coverage requirement.
  
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed primarily indoors.
• Lighting is artificial.
• Equipment used includes standard office equipment i.e. computer, telephone, fax machine, printer and copier.
• Physical demands include sitting, repetitive use of hands, grasping, walking, standing, bending over, climbing, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling and light lifting as required to perform job duties.
• Hours and days are primarily Monday through Friday with some overtime and weekends required.

In addition to base salary, this job may be eligible to participate in our corporate discretionary bonus program, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. The base pay range for this position is $90,000-$115,000
