Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead a complex data center migration and consolidation initiative. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, data center operations, and project management best practices. This role requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget.

What You Will Do:

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, resources, and budget forecasts.
• Lead end-to-end project lifecycle for data center migration, consolidation, and decommissioning projects.
• Conduct a thorough risk assessment identifying potential risks (equipment failure, data loss, and security breaches, etc.) ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Develop a communication plan, outlining how stakeholders will be informed on project progress, milestones and changes. Establish protocols for addressing concerns and impact of any changes
• Coordinate with infrastructure, facilities, networking, application, and business teams to identify migration requirements and dependencies.
• Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers involved in the migration/consolidation process.
• Oversee data, application, and system migrations including hardware, software, and virtual environments.
• Ensure compliance with all security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
• Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques and provide regular status reports to stakeholders and executives.
• Lead post-migration validation and cutover planning including contingency planning and rollback strategies.
• Facilitate lessons learned/best practice sessions and implement continuous improvement practices.

You Will Be Successful If:

• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple interdependencies and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with tools like MS Project, JIRA, ServiceNow, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT systems, networking, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; PMP certification.
• 10+ years of experience managing data center migrations, consolidations, and large IT infrastructure related projects.
• 2+ years working in health plan environment
• Experience working with technologies such as servers, SAN/NAS, firewalls, and backup systems.
• Experience with hybrid cloud migrations or modernization projects.
• ITIL certification and/or strong familiarity with IT service management practices.
