Position Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for DTC invoicing and inventory, government reporting, and month end close duties. This is a highly analytical position that requires attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
The Senior Accountant must be in the Saint Helena office at least 3 days a week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
DTC Invoicing:
• Ensure DTC invoicing successfully migrates from POS to ERP
• Assist DTC in maintaining POS accounts
• Prepare monthly inventory reconciliations between DTC reported volumes and ERP, working with DTC to investigate and improve processes
Government Reporting:
• Prepare monthly federal excise, 702, and state excise tax report
• Prepare government surveys and census as needed
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly
Month End Close:
• Entering Chargeback Credits into ERP
• Bank Reconciliations
• Prepaids and Accruals
• Assist with other accounting processes as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications (work experience, preferred skills and education):
This role requires someone with a strong knowledge of accounting principles and processes who has previously worked in a manufacturing/winery environment with complicated inventory reconciliations. Experience with ERP systems is a must.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong working knowledge of excel.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Organized, accurate and detail oriented.
• 3+ years' experience in a fast-paced accounting department.

• May occasionally lift or move boxes of documents or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds.
