Position Summary

The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing Meyer's enterprise IT infrastructure, daily operational support, and service delivery across U.S. CA locations and occasional international subsidiaries in Europe and the APAC region. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and project execution to ensure system reliability, performance, and seamless collaboration across distributed environments.

The manager will lead a cross-functional IT team, act as a technical liaison across business units, and directly support infrastructure projects with hands-on contributions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize infrastructure platforms including Nutanix HCI, Proxmox, VMware, and Nimble Storage.
• Administer and support Azure infrastructure, Google Workspace, Zoom, and other Enterprise IT and Business-related SaaS applications.
• Architect, manage and oversee the maintenance and operation of network infrastructure and equipment (Cisco and Meraki network environments).
• Lead and manage the service desk team, provide Tier 2/3 escalation support using FreshService and RMM platforms.
• Supervise IT staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
• Act as a technical liaison between Meyer-Hestan business units, its sister companies and subsidiaries in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
• Lead infrastructure initiatives from design to execution, including upgrades and office setups.
• Oversee hardware/software procurement, asset lifecycle, and vendor relationships.
• Maintain and update SOPs, infrastructure diagrams, and knowledge base articles.
• Track infrastructure KPIs, service desk metrics, and uptime reports.
• Review and understand corporate contracts with software and hardware vendors to protect and benefit Meyer Corporation.
• Draft, write and implement new company/employee policies and procedures and update existing policies and procedures on a regular basis regarding network and system security, use of company owned resources, hardware/software support, etc.
• Support the IT App Dev Team, ERP, and EDI groups with network interfaces, hardware setup and maintenance, and interface configuration and design.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8–10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3–5 years in IT infrastructure or operations management.
• Strong hands-on expertise with: Nutanix HCI, VMware, Proxmox, Azure Entra ID, Google Workspace, Zoom, Cisco, Meraki, Nimble, Zscaler, EDR/MDR (Crowdstrike, Arctic Wolf), FreshService, RMM, Network/System Monitoring platforms.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and decision-making abilities.
• Experience supporting hybrid and remote work environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments and global teams.
• Familiarity with compliance practices and IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL).

Preferred Certifications

• ITIL v4 Foundation
• CCNA
