Significant experience in financial management, particularly within nonprofit organizations or similar environments, is essential. You should have a deep understanding of nonprofit accounting principles and a proven track record in strategic financial planning. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software, especially Excel, are crucial in this role.
