  2025-09-05     Mondo     Santa Rosa,CA
Description:

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly autonomous Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead localization and international web infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate has 6–8+ years of technical program management experience, a proven track record delivering complex projects on aggressive timelines, and direct experience managing localization workflows, translation systems, and global product launches. You will partner with engineering, product, design, and business teams while coordinating external vendors to ensure seamless delivery of international web initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone from B2B SaaS, consumer tech, or high-growth AI/ML companies with international reach, who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and can influence without authority.

Key Responsibilities:

Project & Vendor Coordination

  • Lead end-to-end project management for localization initiatives, including vendor selection, integration planning, and delivery coordination.
  • Manage relationships with external localization and web infrastructure vendors, ensuring clear communication of requirements, timelines, and accountability.
  • Coordinate complex technical projects across multiple internal teams and external stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Program Management

  • Facilitate alignment between engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders on web infrastructure priorities.
  • Drive project planning, resource allocation, and timeline management for multi-quarter technical initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain communication cadences, status reporting, and risk mitigation strategies.

Technical Coordination & Process Optimization

  • Collaborate closely with web engineers to understand technical constraints and translate them for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify process improvements and implement scalable project management frameworks.
  • Support technical decision-making through data gathering, stakeholder input synthesis, and trade-off analysis.

Leadership & Autonomy

  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex technical programs with minimal oversight, escalating only strategic trade-offs or major blockers.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, establishing trust and credibility.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination without direct authority, using influence and collaboration skills to drive alignment.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 6–8+ years of technical program management experience, with focus on web infrastructure, localization, or international expansion.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams of 5–15 people across engineering, product, and business functions.
  • Direct experience managing vendor relationships and complex technical integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with localization workflows, translation management systems, or global product launches.
  • Strong technical fluency, with ability to translate constraints between engineering and business audiences.
  • Track record of delivering complex technical projects on aggressive timelines.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth technology environments with comfort navigating ambiguity.

Nice to Haves:

  • Background at consumer-facing tech companies with international user bases (social media, messaging, productivity tools).
  • Experience at high-growth companies (Series B through IPO) or AI/ML-focused organizations.
  • Familiarity with internationalization, global scaling, multi-language launches, or compliance requirements.
  • Strong ownership mentality and ability to thrive in ambiguous environments.
  • Evidence of influencing without authority and building alignment across multiple stakeholders.

Benefits:

  • This role is eligible to enroll in both Mondo's health insurance plan and retirement plan. Mondo defers to the applicable State or local law for paid sick leave eligibility.
