Job Description: The Project Manager will oversee and direct project execution across the full lifecycle, from initiation to close-out. They serve as the central point of communication between construction management, the client, and the field, ensuring all project deliverables are completed according to plan.
Salary Range: $120,000- $150,000 based on experience
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership and Communication:
- Serve as the company's primary representative with clients and field crews.
- Ensure seamless communication and coordination between all stakeholders including construction management, clients, and field personnel.
Construction and Project Management:
- Oversee the project once established by the Construction Manager, ensuring all aspects are managed effectively.
- Utilize all company resources to achieve project objectives.
Safety Management:
- Collaborate with the Safety Department to develop and enforce safety plans.
- Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Client Relationship Management:
- Provide daily updates, schedule adjustments, and regular meetings to keep clients fully informed.
Documentation and Change Management:
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate and promptly updated.
- Manage change orders and ensure all project changes are documented and communicated.
Materials and Logistics:
- Ensure material and equipment inventories are prepared prior to project commencement.
- Manage procurement and logistics to avoid shortages and ensure timely availability of resources.
Field Manpower Coordination:
- Efficiently manage field manpower, ensuring adequate staffing and compliance with safety training requirements.
- Coordinate manpower adjustments with the Construction Manager based on project needs.
Subcontractor Management:
- Ensure subcontractors are compliant with GCI's construction standards and project requirements.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all construction activities comply with GCI's quality assurance programs and client specifications.
- Manage the collection and approval of all required project quality documentation.
Financial and Additional Construction Cost Management:
- Monitor project financials and manage additional construction costs effectively.
- Ensure all extra work is documented, approved, and billed appropriately.
Project Close-Out:
- Manage the project close-out process, ensuring all tasks are completed, documentation is submitted, and the site is cleared.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Extensive experience in trades is an acceptable alternative to this requirement.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a strong focus on industrial or large commercial projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Strong moral and ethical foundation to uphold GCI's standards and values.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software.
- Financial literacy.
