Overview

The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing daily production, ensuring quality standards, optimizing processes, driving cost efficiency, and maintaining a safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in plastics manufacturing, and the ability to meet production targets while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure production targets are met and deadlines are followed.
• Manage plant employees, safety, and the production schedule.
• Oversee budgets and cost management for the plant.
• Implement company policies and procedures at the plant level.
• Mentor plant staff, fostering accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
• Prepare and manage plant budgets, monitor costs, and ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Collaborate with R&D, supply chain, and engineering teams for new product launches and process enhancements.
• Maintain accurate production and performance reports for senior management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
• 8–12 years of proven experience in plastic manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of plastic processing methods (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, thermoforming, etc.).

Preferred Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to manage diverse teams.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools.
