Family Law Attorney

Position: Full-Time | Family Law Attorney

Our client, a well-established family law firm founded in 2017, is seeking a dedicated Family Law Attorney to join their growing team. The firm serves clients across Contra Costa, Alameda, Solano, Napa, Marin, and San Joaquin Counties and is open to considering candidates from these areas as well.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and related proceedings.
• Appear in courts across Contra Costa, Alameda, and Solano Counties.
• Manage case files, maintain strong client communication, and handle matters independently while collaborating with the firm's partners.
• Contribute to the firm's continued growth; candidates with a book of business may be considered for partnership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of family law experience (California).
• Strong litigation and courtroom experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, research, and organizational skills.
• Licensed to practice law in California.
• Ability to drive to Contra Costa, Alameda, and Solano County courts.
• CFLS designation is a plus.

Compensation

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $230,000.

Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

• 2 years of experience: typically $150,000 – $160,000
• 5+ years of experience: typically around $200,000
• Up to $230,000 considered for candidates with a book of business (potential partnership opportunity)
• Bi-annual billable bonus based on performance.
• Attorneys who exceed billable requirements typically receive 1/3 of billing in excess of billables.

Billable Hours:

• Adjustable from 4–6 hours/day (approx. 1000–1500 annually).
• Higher salaries offered for higher billable commitments.
