As a Healthcare Technology and Cybersecurity Specialist at the Department of Health Services, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the security of sensitive data and systems in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other applicable privacy and security regulations.
Your primary duties will involve managing access controls, monitoring system activity, conducting vulnerability assessments, and responding to security incidents. You will work closely with various teams to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of personal health information (PHI) and personally identifiable information (PII). This recruitment is being conducted to fill a Healthcare Technology and Cybersecurity Specialist position in the Department of Health Services. This employment list may also be used to fill future full-time, part-time, or extra-help (temporary) positions as they occur during the active status of the list. Minimum qualifications include education and experience in information systems, computer science, or a closely related field, and two years of experience in developing and maintaining information technology systems. Licenses may be required depending on the assignment.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include IT systems components and architecture, customer support techniques, network principles, software applications, system performance monitoring, technical documentation, IT systems security, communication techniques, and more.
