Job Details

The position will be responsible for all accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and general accounting. Will work closely with the Head of Finance to ensure that the Company's financial records are accurate and up-to-date, and that they comply with all applicable accounting standards.

Accounts Receivable
• Manages the collection process for outstanding customer invoices to ensure timely payments.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date customer account records.
• Communicates effectively with customers and sales representatives regarding credit issues and collection efforts.
• Investigates and resolves cash receipt discrepancies.
• Fosters positive customer relationships through clear and professional communication.

Accounts Payable:
• Reviews accounts payable invoices for accuracy and consistency with purchase orders and bookings.
• Collaborates with operations and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies (e.g., pricing variations, additional charges).
• Investigates and reconciles vendor statements with internal records.
• Maintains positive vendor relations through effective communication.
• Manages relationships with office suppliers.

Cash Management:
• Records and posts all banking transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Reconciles bank statements with the general ledger to ensure all cash activities are accounted for.

General Accounting:
• Performs account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts (prepaid expenses, cash, other receivables, and payables) to verify accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
• Prepares month-end reports and posts journal entries for closing procedures.
• Conducts ad-hoc cost analyses (spot costing) as required throughout the year.

Level of education / Specific certifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent accounting certification.

Specific knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principals and practices.

Previous Experience: 3-5 years of experience in core accounting functions.

Critical Competencies / Qualities for the Position: Proficiency in computer applications, cloud-based accounting software, and ideally SAP or similar robust ERP system. Demonstrated ability to be proactive, solve problems effectively, and communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
