The Senior Back-End Software Engineer will be responsible for development and production support of node-based micro-services, which span multiple cloud providers and data centers across the globe.

Must-Have:

1. Solid understanding of Node.js
2. Experience with third-party APIs, with an emphasis on REST, JSON, XML, and OAuth.
3. Good knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby, PHP, Perl)
4. Understanding of event-based programming
5. Working knowledge of web-based authentication and authorization schemes
6. Comfortable working with the command line and Linux systems

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and equivalent practical experience.

Nice-To-Have:

1. Working knowledge of queuing systems
2. AWS or similar and use of CLI tools
3. Source control, especially GIT
4. Redis and MongoDB
5. Understanding of code testing methodologies: mocks and stubs
6. Basic understanding of balancing/monitoring/troubleshooting large distributed systems
7. Self-starter, who wants to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment
