Position

We are looking for an experienced ELD Coordinator responsible for curriculum dissemination, instructional strategies, professional development, and serving as a key resource for ELD staff. The role involves collaborating with school leaders and teachers to foster continuous improvement and student success, reporting to the Director of Student Services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop a Newcomers program to meet students' needs.
  • Provide coaching and modeling for teachers supporting English Learners.
  • Support Paraprofessionals working with EL students.
  • Conduct professional development on ELD instruction.
  • Oversee TK-12 English Language Development and ELD programs at each site.
  • Address needs of Long Term English Learners (LTELs).
  • Manage ELPAC administration and data analysis.
  • Investigate and develop ELD curriculum.
  • Oversee RFEP process and student progress monitoring.
  • Update the ELD Master Plan annually.
  • Manage compliance and grant paperwork for Title III and other funds.
  • Develop summer programs for EL students.

  • Knowledge of public education and charter schools preferred.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred.
  • Teaching credential and certifications like CLAD, BCLAD, SDAIE desirable.
  • At least three years of teaching/pupil services experience, including one year in ELD.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of state standards and assessments.
  • Leadership experience in strategic planning and team building.
  • Experience in charter schools preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged desk work and computer use.
  • Motor coordination for keyboarding.
  • Occasional lifting up to twenty pounds.
  • Ability to navigate various facilities.
Compensation

The salary range is $90,000-$110,000, commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package is provided. This is a full-time, in-person, exempt position.
