Job Details

The Echocardiograph Technician performs echocardiography examinations according to department procedure as required for age-specific populations. The technician will provide preliminary exam findings to the Cardiologists to aid in the interpretation of the study. Ensures that all exams are documented accurately. Responsibilities Performs cardiac ultrasound testing; selects and operates equipment as directed. Demonstrates competence in performing Echo, Doppler, Color flow, Stress Echo and electrocardiograms Interacts with patients, answering inquiries and explaining examination details Maintains patient information and examination records accurately and confidentially. Performs maintenance on equipment before and after use to keep it operating as intended Cleans, disinfects and maintains equipment after each patient use. Maintains all supplies required for testing.
