We are partnering with a well-known winery in the Napa Valley in search for an experienced Senior Accountant. This position requires a strong foundation in GAAP, General Ledger, reconciliations + analysis, ideally within a winery or manufacturing environment. We are searching for a strategic thinker who can analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide valuable insights to support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform regular account reconciliations, identify trends and discrepancies and resolving issues.
• Actively participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain month-end inventory reconciliations for raw and finished goods
• Analyze cost variances per reconciliation and budgeting
• Prepare month-end inventory reconciliations for raw and finished goods across all facilities
• Monitor monthly production costs and variance analysis, develop annual budgeted costs for production SKU's
• Review packaging components received at invoice vs. standard cost, propose standard cost changes for packaging as needed

• BS Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3-5 years Accounting experience with an emphasis on GL and inventory/cost within a winery or manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical capabilities, including proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite), reporting tools, and advanced MS Excel skills.
