Job Details

Adjusts and operates all machinery relating to the decorating and coating (both internally and externally) of can bodies. This includes the operation of the printer, attachments, coating ovens and the internal and bottom coating equipment as well as the mechanical control devices. Examines cans which have been washed, decorated, and coated to determine conformance to specifications; make adjustments to equipment, such as registry, ink distribution, spray angles and patterns, etc. to restore operations to requirements; assists maintainer with correction of problems. Inspects equipment to prevent breakdowns, lubricates and makes adjustments for wear. Keep machines clean and operational. Reads and follows procedural manuals, manufacturers' equipment guide, operating records, production logs, and maintenance requirements.
