Oakmont Gardens is recruiting for a hospitality focused Food Runner/Busser to join our culinary team! This role provides full-scope, hands on serving functions within the community.

Pay: $17.87/hr

Schedule: Part-Time - schedule varies

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Food Runner/Busser:

  • Always exemplify Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
  • Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards always.
  • Exhibit dining room appearance and presentation standards always.
  • Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order.
  • Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere.
  • Assists in clearing, cleaning and resetting tables.
  • Carries trays to/from dining room as needed.
  • Delivers food to resident apartments.
  • Keeps coffee and water glasses full for residents, often walking around the dining room to ensure glasses are full.
  • Assists Servers as needed.


Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  1. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
  2. Experience busing tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred; will train.
  3. Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness.
