the girl & the fig in Sonoma is currently seeking an experienced Food Runner to join our team.
We are a restaurant group with multiple locations in the Sonoma Valley, which includes the girl & the fig in Sonoma, Poppy in Glen Ellen, the girl & the fig CATERS!, Suite D, and our FIGfood product line. We strive to use the best in local, sustainable food, and we continually develop many in-house programs to promote those ideals. Our Runners primary responsibility is to deliver food to guests in a professional manner and with clear communication.
The Perfect Candidate is...
- Professional, friendly, and communicative
- Knowledgeable about food and wine
- Able to provide friendly and responsible service to our guests
- Working in tandem with the kitchen to expedite food
- Delivering food to guests and communicating menu items
- Assisting in maintaining server and busser stations
- Ability to provide or complete a CA Food Handler Certification and renew as necessary
- General restaurant knowledge and relevant restaurant experience
- Physical Demands...
- Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds.
- Must be able to carry at least three plates at once.
- Requires standing more than 90% of time during work shift.
- Part-time, weekend availability required
- Hourly wage is $18.02 + gratuities
