Position Summary

The HR Manager, Total Rewards manages coordination of all Team Member engagement initiatives, plans and executes events and activities, manages recognition programs, and coordinates ancillary activities. The Manager oversees all benefit and leave processes while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements. The Manager administers all aspects of the company benefits plan, manages leave of absence administration, audits and leave programs for continual compliance, and works with the HRIS Manager to liaise between carriers, system administrators, and the benefits team to execute benefit programs and resolve coverage challenges. The Manager provides consistent service to all internal and external guests, focusing on accuracy, efficiency, effectiveness, and guest service.

Essential Functions

  • Redefine hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while supporting and promoting our values.
  • Actively engage and develop the benefits & engagement team.

Benefits Administration

  • Administer all Team Member benefit programs – group medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, long term disability, 401(k), COBRA, Flexible Spending Accounts, and voluntary benefits.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all enrollments and life events.
  • Conduct monthly audits of the 401(k) program for enrollment accuracy.
  • Conduct monthly audit of hardship withdrawals; communicate program requirements and send reminders.
  • Provide benefit counseling and resolve individual benefit/claim issues through liaison with carriers and benefits consultants.
  • Work with carriers and system administrators on eligibility, reconciliation, benefit/claim problems, appeals, publications.
  • Process court orders, death and beneficiary claims with Unum and ADP for 401(k).
  • Manage the Leave Administrator to ensure leaves are processed in accordance with applicable federal and state policies and Graton policies.
  • Coordinate with communications manager on communication plan and processes for annual enrollment.

Team Member Events & Recognition

  • Create and manage the annual calendar of Team Member events, collaborating with Sales & Catering.
  • Manage and execute Banquets, Special Events, seasonal events, and annual wellness fairs.
  • Identify and coordinate community outreach collaborations to engage and inspire Team Members.
  • Manage and audit recognition programs: Achievers, Leadership Excellence, Living Our Values, 5- and 10-year anniversaries.

Contests and Rewards

  • Manage contests, clubs, raffles, and reward giveaway programs that engage Team Members on culture, training, education, and wellness topics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years HR experience in benefits administration, with strong knowledge of federal and state benefit regulations.
• Proven ability to manage complex benefit plans and coordinate with carriers, attorneys, and benefit consultants.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and customer service skills with a focus on teamwork and guest experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
