Butter Pecan Bakeshop is a fast-growing cookie company with locations throughout the Bay Area. Bakery Assistants help prepare dough. Ability to perform physical labor and follow instructions are required. This is an ENRY-LEVEL position. Food Prep experience is highly preferred. Opportunity for growth to individuals who succeed! Description

What you will do?

Assist with dough preparation including but not limited to:

• Handling dough
• Rolling/circling dough
• Weighing/measuring dough
• Clean up/dishes
• Assist in kitchen to support all baking activities when needed
• Food Handler's Certificate required upon hire
• Follow food safety guidelines at all times

• Reliable, come to work on time and EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE ARE REQUIRED.
• Must maintain and follow strict cleaning and food handling/safety guidelines. Hairnet, apron, and gloves are required at all times.
• Hard-working
• Requires PHYSICAL STAMINA and REPETITION
• Has integrity, positive attitude & takes initiative
• Is comfortable working on a team and independently
• Must be trustworthy. Will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to protect recipes, etc.
• Has the ability to work well under pressure.
• Has excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently
• Ability to multitask while paying special attention to detail and is meticulous
• Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule according to business needs
• Moderate verbal and written communication skills
• Is legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must pass background check

• Frequent and repetitive hand movements, walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead
• Handle heavy dough and equipment including large mixing bowls, machinery, etc.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds

• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

• Full-time, part-time
• Weekday mornings
• Potential for additional hours during peak season/holidays

• $16.50 per hour
