Volt is immediately hiring an Industrial Sorter in Fairfield, CA
As an Industrial Sorter, you will:
- Material Sorting: Responsible for separating and rearranging mixed stacks of material, ensuring different types of material are identified and stacked individually.
- Damage Inspection: Identify and separate damaged material. Inspect both sides of the material to ensure quality is in line with the SOP
- Record Keeping: Document the time, date, quantities, and any findings on the performance record sheet provided
- Communication: Coordinate with forklift drivers to ensure the sorted material is transferred when completed
- Cleanliness and Safety: Follow PPE requirements (gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes) and maintain cleanliness in the sorting area, adhering to GMP and safety standards outlined in the SOP.
- Machine Cleaning: After material sorting, ensure the materials are cleaned using the machine, with a final inspection
This is a
Full-Time opportunity.
Monday-Friday, 6:00 am- 4:30 pm (mandatory OT every day) The ideal candidate will have:
- Successful completion of drug screen and background required.
- Ability to read and write at a level necessary to accomplish the above tasks.
- Approximately one year of distribution/warehouse experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds continuously
- Ability to walk or stand 90% of the day.
- Bilingual is a plus.
Pay Rate: $17/hr. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
