About the job Respiratory Care Practitioner - Vacaville, CA

Position: Respiratory Care PractitionerLocation: Correctional Facility in Vacaville, California
Pay Rate: $39.25 to $41.25 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, 6 to 9-month contract (eligible for extension)
Shift Options:

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM

• Minimum of 12 continuous months of direct patient care experience within the last 3 years in a public or private institution
• Current clinical competencies
• Valid photo ID (Drivers License or Passport)
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Valid California Respiratory Care Practitioner License (hard copy)
• NBRC certification

• Provide respiratory care aligned with evidence-based clinical standards
• Set up respiratory equipment and train patients in proper usage
• Conduct full medical evaluations during scheduled shifts or upon request
• Maintain accurate and timely chart documentation; charts delinquent over 10 days may result in contract termination
• Contribute to the development and revision of respiratory therapy policies and procedures
• Periodically assess equipment needs and make recommendations
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other special assignments as directed by the CEO, CME, or designee
