Public Area Attendant

Description:

Salary Range - This position is part of the union and the wage is established by a Collective Bargaining Agreement. Current rate is $22.50/hour. The Public area attendant is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive public area of the Resort while providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests.

Essential Functions

  • Must adhere to the company's Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
  • Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
  • Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
  • Maintains supply levels in the public areas, toilet paper, and Kleenex.
  • Maintains and cleans all public washrooms, checking twice each hour.
  • Makes routine checks of all public areas to ensure cleanliness. Empties ash urns.
  • Dusts all tables, lamps, and ledges in all public areas.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of all windows, glass, and doors in public areas.
  • Checks guest elevators, cleans carpets, and polishes metals as necessary. Maintains elevator tracks.
  • Performs cleaning tasks in public areas, including vacuuming, sweeping, moping, and collecting garbage.
  • Assists guests and other staff members as needed.
  • Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a resort or a related field preferred.
Working Conditions and Schedule
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects (ex. sweep, mop, scrub).
  • Must be able to stand during entire shift.
  • Required to walk/climb stairs; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, and bend.
  • This role requires driving a golf cart.
