As a coach you will have an opportunity to mentor and foster technology for the next generation. The candidate should have a passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. The candidate will actively contribute to meaningful projects, enrichment activities, fostering skill-building and creativity.

We have 10 openings for Tech Coaches in the San Francisco Bay Area. These are part-time openings and require up to 20 hours per month during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer months.

This position on a 1099 with salary range of $22-$32 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications and alignment with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Program Delivery & Youth Engagement

• Lead daily sessions, follow curriculum, lesson plans for technology, robotics projects, coding challenges and STEM classes/camps.
• Adapt instruction for diverse ages/abilities, incorporating student voice and culturally responsive methods.
• Facilitate student-led showcases, digital portfolios and engineering demos, celebrating growth.

Site Support

• Assist Site Coordinator with setup/cleanup, attendance tracking, and behavior management.
• Participate in weekly team huddles, reflections, and feedback loops.
• Support outreach events to maintain 95%+ attendance.
• Maintain safe environments; follow child protection/emergency protocols.
• Complete required trainings; model professional conduct.

Proactive Problem Solving

• Identify and help resolve potential challenges proactively, working closely with our Support Team to coordinate interventions as needed to ensure seamless program delivery.
• Enforce child protection protocols, emergency procedures, and risk management.
• Maintain safe environments; document/log all incidents per organizational policy.
• Collaborate with onsite program coordinators, program directors, staff, identify needs, coordinate interventions as needed to ensure seamless program delivery.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree.

• Computer Science, Information Technology, Robotics or Management Information Systems major.

• Strong verbal and written communication.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work well in teams.

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

• 1+ years of youth program experience with diverse youth populations is ideal.
• Energetic, creative, patient; passion for whole-child development.
• Time management, planning, and prioritization.
• Exhibits professional and approachable demeanor.
• Learning agility – able to adapt to changes in work environment by changing behaviors as required.
• Able to acquire new skills as required.
• Passion for STEAM/Academics integration and whole-child development.
• DOJ/FBI clearance & TB testing will be required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Flexibility to adapt to dynamic program needs, including occasional travel between Rrooar Academy's program sites.
• Ability to engage in physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting.
