Job Overview

Join United Performance Metals (UPM), supported by O'Neal Industries with 100 years of expertise, as a dedicated Administrative Assistant to drive continuous improvement across our global specialty metal distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

• Own office support activities such as hosting customers, supply ordering, answering telephones, mail delivery and cleanliness of common areas.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve UPM's operational abilities. Track and report on performance against contract obligations, internal audit results and other defined business indicators.
• Support HR by serving as an employee liaison; keep bulletin boards updated, file employee training documents and assist with other company initiatives.
• Manage business calendar for operations leadership and customer visits.
• Provide clerical support to various management and operational functions, including data entry, photocopying, filing, faxing and emailing.
• Deliver strong customer service and vendor management.
• Process customer invoices, credit cards and shipping documents and follow up on collections.
• Manage records and general support of the sales, production and corporate staff.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an administrative assistant.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Bookkeeping experience.
• Excellent oral and written communications.
• Strong attention to detail and result oriented.
• Persistent problem solver.
• Proficient on Word, Excel, Outlook & Internet.
• Motivated self-starter.
