Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Secretary I - Outpatient NYU Langone Radiology - Garden City.

In this role, the successful candidate Assists the RN/LPN in the care of patients and families by completing assigned patient care tasks; provides competent, safe, and compassionate care with emphasis on an understanding of the challenges faced by hospitalization, undergoing procedures or diagnostic tests; demonstrates NYULMC Core Values in all aspects of job performance.

Job Responsibilities:

* Assists in emergency situations as directed.* Performs other duties as assigned.* Completes delegated responsibilities as directed by the Nursing Staff,MDs and Technologist.* Observes general behavior and reports same to nursing staff to whom patient is assigned.* Assists in data collection and activities as assigned.* Assists in maintaining safety and comfort needs of patients.* Demonstrates understanding of infection prevention and control standards.

Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
Assist Technologist with Facility Patient Workflow.
Escort patients to changing areas and back to front waiting area when exams are completed.
Assist with QA / Triage of future schedules to ensure exams are scheduled appropriately prior to day of appointment.
Print and maintain a busy work schedule and make sure scripts are correct in the Epic System
Scan documents: Questionnaires, Contrast forms
Make sure patient's outside studies are uploaded into the system for comparison
Provide extensive (face-to-face) patient care services while assisting clinical staff

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High school graduate or equivalent required. Competencies: Working knowledge of English is evident in verbal, reading and writing abilities; other language an asset; demonstrated ability in computer skills.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $48,308.00 - $48,308.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
