Estate Manager
The Estate Manager is responsible for day-to-day front-of-house operations, with primary responsibility for the tasting room and special events departments of our Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) business which includes fiscal budgets and department profitability. This role is responsible for the onsite image/impressions of the winery, interacting with customers and external stakeholders, and providing strong leadership, delegation and decision making while building a successful team that can work together to create memorable experiences for our guests.

Strategic Leadership & Business Management
- Execute integrated DTC programming in collaboration with the Sr. Director and CWG channel managers to deliver company-wide goals.
- Manage the annual budget, financial targets, capex projects, and forecast future needs.
- Monitor business performance and identify opportunities to enhance service, sales, programming, and overall efficiency.
- Complete key administrative and compliance duties including performance reviews, financial reporting, and adherence to alcohol/health/safety regulations.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Ecommerce, Guest Services, Wine Club, and Production to ensure alignment on programming, brand standards, printed materials, and accurate website content.
Team Leadership, Culture & Development
- Lead and inspire both management and hourly teams to drive engagement, alignment, and momentum.
- Foster a service-driven, sales-focused culture that is knowledgeable, professional, efficient, and aligned with brand expectations.
- Promote open communication, a can-do mindset, and collaborative problem solving.
- Provide coaching and feedback that support employee growth, creativity, and a healthy, positive culture.
- Partner with and lead the Special Events Manager, collaborating on outreach, sales planning, budgeting, and revenue goals.
- Partner with Winemaking/Production to deliver ongoing product and wine education.
Guest Experience & Hospitality Excellence
- Ensure all guest-facing spaces present a safe, clean, and high-quality environment.
- Deliver exceptional service through efficient daily operations including housekeeping standards, opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and program execution.
- Coordinate seamlessly across Guest Services, Wine Club, and Tasting Room teams to provide a unified guest experience.
- Manage inventory accurately to ensure product availability for onsite sales and club pickups.
- When needed, host VIP tours, tastings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners (wineries, hotels, industry groups) to drive qualified referrals.
Tasting Room, Special Events & Programming
- Manage the Tasting Room P&L to achieve revenue, expense, and EBITDA goals.
- Partner with Special Events to execute club releases, signature events, and winery programs with exceptional service and the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions.
- Work cross-functionally to bring new programming and initiatives to life through collaboration, change management, and positive leadership onsite.
- Attend key trade and consumer events when appropriate to ensure guests receive a memorable, brand-consistent experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or 46 years equivalent retail/hospitality and P&L management experience.
- Strong leadership, influence, and communication skills, with the ability to present ideas, motivate teams, and interact effectively across all levels.
- Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to implement transformative initiatives and drive results.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with proven success managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Extensive knowledge of luxury products, wine, production processes, and the wine industry.
- Professional, engaging, and adaptable demeanor with a positive and creative approach to leadership and hospitality.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to build meaningful guest and team relationships.
- Proficiency with CRM and POS systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.

The projected (base) pay range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 per year in addition to potential annual bonus. This is the projected compensation for the position however the actual compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as (but not limited to) candidate qualifications, related experience and education, candidate work location and market data.
