Position Overview

Our Panera Bread cafes are known for their inviting atmosphere and a menu featuring baked breads, pastries, made-to-order soups, salads, sandwiches, and specialty espresso beverages.

As a Team Leader in our dynamic cafés, you will lead a team of up to 75 staff members to ensure exemplary service for our valued guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a Café Team Leader, you will engage in strategic planning and day-to-day management activities in a fast-paced, rewarding atmosphere.

  • Serve as a role model and lead team members effectively.
  • Oversee operations during your shifts to ensure a consistently positive customer experience.
  • Manage overall business performance and uphold safety and sanitation standards.
  • Conduct team training and ensure staff are well-prepared to serve customers.
  • Motivate and engage with team members to maintain high morale and productivity.
  • Exhibit professionalism and embody our Values and Beliefs.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Food Management Certifications are advantageous.
  • Possess a strong sense of ownership and a 'Run it Like You Own It' mentality.
  • Excellent organization, customer service, and time management skills are essential.
  • Display passion and energy with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within a diverse group of people.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Compensation Range for Team Leaders: $23.50 - $25.00 per hour.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and move for up to ten hours.
  • Ability to safely lift items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate effective communication.
