Description:

Clean Harbors is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks/work equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs. This position involves both driving and non-driving duties associated with hazardous waste clean-up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to safe work practices and policies.
  • Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed—teamwork is key.
  • Handle loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Perform manual labor onsite to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Ensure proper placarding of vehicles in accordance with Company and DOT regulations.
  • Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and reports.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal compliance regulations.
  • Safely operate vehicles according to U.S. DOT requirements.
  • Follow corporate operating guidelines and procedures closely.
  • Adhere to all environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Be available on-call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
  • Engage in site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
  • Proficient in using various mobile devices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as required.
  • Must successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical examination.
  • Meet facial hair standards as per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a commercial driver.
  • Current Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
  • Previous experience with hazardous materials.
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
  • Experience with manual labor tasks.
