OVERVIEW

RESPONSIBILITIES

Monthly Financial Reporting & Performance Analysis (Primary Focus)

  • Lead the preparation of high-quality monthly financial reporting packages for senior leadership, ensuring exceptional accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Perform in-depth variance analysis comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior year, clearly articulating performance drivers across revenue, gross margin, and operating expenses.
  • Develop refined financial narratives and commentary that connect brand and commercial performance to financial outcomes, enabling informed leadership discussions.
  • Partner closely with Accounting during month-end close to ensure financial integrity, alignment on key drivers, and transparency around judgmental or complex entries.
  • Support the Director, FP&A in delivering executive-level reporting and insights tailored to both regional leadership and Headquarters expectations.

Forecasting & Business Performance Management

  • Support the quarterly forecast refresh, incorporating actual performance, evolving commercial strategies, and macro or market considerations.
  • Track run-rate performance and forecast movements, distinguishing structural versus timing variances and their impact on full-year outlook.
  • Monitor performance against key financial and operational KPIs, proactively identifying risks and opportunities to protect profitability and brand investments.
  • Contribute to the annual budget and long-range planning cycles through disciplined trend analysis and performance benchmarking.

Reporting Excellence, Systems & Process Enhancement

  • Maintain and enhance reporting models and templates, ensuring clarity, elegance, and consistency across reporting cycles.
  • Leverage SAP, Lucanet, and BW reporting to analyze results and streamline reporting workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and variance analysis, improving efficiency while maintaining a high level of precision.
  • Support ad hoc analyses and strategic initiatives with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and analytical rigor.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Directly supervise and develop two FP&A Analysts, fostering strong analytical standards, business curiosity, and attention to detail.
  • Review team deliverables to ensure accuracy, coherence, and readiness for senior-level audiences.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship, helping analysts deepen financial skills and understanding of omni-channel brand dynamics.
  • Promote a collaborative, disciplined, and continuous-improvement culture within the FP&A team.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B. S) in finance or accounting from a four-year college or university
  • 8 years of progressive experience in a finance with at least 3 years in a leadership role with an excellent understanding of business metrics
  • Retail store experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking and accounting
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling and business partnering skills.
  • Advanced Excel, MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must have SAP experience.
  • Footwear experience desirable, CPG experience a plus
  • Excellent leadership, management and communications skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial accounting concepts, GAAP/IFRS standards and policies and procedures.
  • Adept in understanding and experience with advanced financial analysis and process evaluation /improvement.
  • Must be a proactive, solutions-focused problem solver.
  • Work well in demanding situations and be able to multitask and prioritize.
