Position Summary

The Spa Attendant plays a key role in creating a clean, serene, and welcoming spa environment while delivering exceptional guest service. This position supports daily spa operations by maintaining cleanliness and organization across all areas, ensuring supplies are fully stocked, and assisting guests to provide a comfortable and relaxing experience. Working closely with the spa team, the Spa Attendant upholds the highest standards of hospitality, professionalism, and service excellence.

What You'll Do

Guest Experience

  • Welcome guests warmly and assist with spa orientation, services, and amenities
  • Support check-in/check-out processes, including distributing robes, towels, and slippers
  • Respond promptly to guest needs and elevate to management as needed, and anticipate ways to enhance their experience
  • Maintain a calm, professional environment while ensuring guest privacy and comfort
Spa Cleanliness & Upkeep
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization across all spa areas, including treatment rooms, locker rooms, lounges, saunas, steam rooms, fitness, and pool areas
  • Sanitize surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure spaces are clean, safe, stocked, and fully operational
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns as needed
Supplies & Laundry
  • Restock linens, robes, towels, toiletries, beverages, and spa amenities
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs
  • Assist with laundry operations, including collecting, washing, folding, and distributing items
Operational Support
  • Prepare and reset treatment rooms and spa areas to established standards
  • Assist therapists and team members with room turnover and daily operations
  • Support opening and closing duties, including pre- and post-shift tasks
  • Assist with special events and ensure equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored
Compliance & Safety
  • Follow all company and departmental policies, including meal and rest breaks, grooming and uniform standards, timekeeping, and professional conduct, and service excellence
  • Adhere to sanitation, hygiene, and safety protocols at all times
  • Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning products and equipment
  • Promote safe guest use of spa facilities and participate in ongoing training
Teamwork
  • Collaborate with spa team members to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Communicate effectively and support colleagues during busy periods
  • Contribute ideas to improve service and overall guest experience
Compensation & Classification

This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Scheduling may vary based on business needs. Overtime and meal/rest breaks are provided in accordance with applicable laws.

Requirements

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in hospitality, spa, or housekeeping preferred
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation standards
  • Understanding of spa or wellness environments is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, calm, and team-oriented demeanor
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Comfortable working in humid or warm environments steam rooms, saunas, pool areas)
Work Environment & Schedule
  • Indoor and outdoor spa setting with varying temperatures
  • Relaxation-focused environment requiring professionalism and composure
  • Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
