The Vehicle Preparation Specialist is responsible for performing vehicle detailing and preparation services to ensure vehicles meet AMPORTS and customer quality standards prior to delivery, release, or shipment. This role supports port processing operations by preparing vehicles to meet manufacturer presentation and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Buffing and polishing vehicle paint surfaces to remove minor imperfections and restore finish.
• Vacuuming interiors and cleaning dashboards, consoles, and trim.
• Cleaning windows, mirrors, and exterior surfaces.
• Shampooing carpets and upholstery when required.
• Removing protective films, transport coverings, and adhesive residue.
• Performing clay bar treatments and surface preparation when necessary.
• Cleaning wheels and rims and applying tire dressing.
• Applying cleaning solutions, waxes, and protectants to interior and exterior surfaces.
• Inspecting vehicles for cosmetic defects or damage and reporting concerns to supervision.
• Ensuring vehicles meet customer presentation standards prior to release.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
• Following all AMPORTS safety procedures and operational guidelines.
• Supporting daily production goals within the processing operation.

Qualifications:

• Previous automotive detailing or vehicle preparation experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

Starting Pay: $21.91 per hour (increases to $24.02 per hour after 60 days)
