Join our team as a Pharmacy Operations Assistant, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacists and enhancing customer experiences in the pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with various pharmacy duties, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Utilize pharmacy systems for processing prescriptions, while providing guidance to fellow technicians and cashiers.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, resolving inquiries, and building lasting relationships.

Customer Engagement

• Welcome customers with a friendly greeting and offer assistance with products and services.
• Share and model best practices for outstanding customer service across the team.
• Develop strong connections with our most valued customers.

Pharmacy Operations

• Support pharmacists in daily operations while strictly adhering to company policies and the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Manage tasks such as entering and verifying prescription information, filling medications, and handling cash transactions.
• Effectively communicate any prescription errors to the pharmacist and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with inventory management and ensure the pharmacy remains stocked and organized.
• Conduct clerical duties as assigned, including processing claims and managing phone communications.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred: Six months of retail experience and proficiency in math and computer skills.
• Preferred: Previous experience with Walgreens and PTCB or ExCPT certification.

Training and Development

• Obtain and maintain PTCB or ExCPT certification as required for career progression.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance knowledge and skills in the pharmacy field.
